Early Georgian hand wrought iron trivet kettle stand c1780. This iron pot stand or trivet is signed by the maker on the underside with the initials I B. The entire top surface was cut from a single piece of flat iron and then hand forged to form the open work design. The back has a penny foot and the front legs were formed form a single stock of iron that was hand welded by a master blacksmith. This period trivet measures 8 and one quarter inches high by 15 inches long and 7 inches wide. This is a true work of art. Shipping extra. Sterling silver or higher tea service with tray India c1860. This matching four piece tea set is heavily embossed and all original. The tray measures 13 inches in diameter, the teapot is 6.5 inches wide, the sugar bowl is 5 inches wide, and the creamer is 4inches wide. Old small minor repair to the back of the tray. The teapot features an elephant head spout and handle, and an elephant and rider finial. The only marks on the bottom are the number 5180. Weight: sugar 9.5 ozs, creamer 7 ozs, teapot 22.5 ozs and the tray 17 ozs. total weight of all pieces 56 ozs. Shipping extra. This bronze cast sculpture titled L' Amour au Papillon measures 19 inches high by 9 inches wide by 9 inches deep. L'Amour au Papillon is signed and dated 1864 on the back at the base. The artist Joseph Charles de Blezer was born in Ghent, Belgium. He attended the esteemed Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, France, studying under the renowned sculptor Jean Baptiste Clesinger. Early copper storage container with double handles c1700 to 1780. This unique early copper bucket or container was put together with hand made dovetails. There is a top, lower and bottom section all dovetailed together. Five pieces in all. One old repair to one handle which we show in one of the pictures we provided. This is an excellent piece of early copper in a rich old reddish bronze copper color patina. Measures 9 inches high and 12 and one half inches wide handle to handle. C Brewer Middletown Coin Silver tongs c1800. C Brewer made some of the finest Connecticut Silver in Middletown from 1778 until 1860. These are early sugar tongs dating from the turn of the 18th to 19th century. The tong end bowls were made separate and attached to the arms. Hallmarked inside C.Brewer. This pair of tongs measures 7 inches long and weights 43 grams. There is a brite cut design and monogram on its upper section. This is a very elegant piece of American Silver. Shipping extra.
