Early American country pine work table with sliding drawer c1830. This early country furniture piece has two wide top boards and original finish. Measures 60 inches wide by 30 inches deep and 30 inches high. The drawer measures 5 and one half inches high by 40 inches wide and is quite unusual because it slides through on either side on wood rollers. Deep rich old patina. Western Mass CT River Valley reverse serpentine country cherry chest c1780. This cherry chest is quite rare because of its bandy legs. We can not find other examples of this foot being used on four drawer chests made in the CT River Valley in the 18th century. Excellent condition with virtually no repairs. This graduated drawer chest even has its original brasses. Measures 37 and three quarter inches wide across its top, 36 inches across its case, 18 inches deep, 36 and one half inches high with four graduated drawers that measure 7 inches, 6 inches, 5 and one quarter inches and 4 and one half inches. This chest was made with the finest mahogany by a master craftsman. It has a hand cut dovetailed front, wide hand cut dovetailed drawers sides,and ivory diamond key escutcheons.This an exact period reproduction of a American 18th century chest.
