A late 19th century English oversize black lacquered papier mache tray table, centering a stylized chinoiserie pavillion (Brighton) in mother-of pearl, incorporating palm tree motifs w/gilt highlights. On a custom, fitted black lacquered table base w/faux bamboo design. 20.4 inches high x 36 inches wide x 28.25 inches deep. This is one of the most beautiful and papier mache tray tables we have handled. It is both strong and in excellent condition. Shipping extra. An English Regency period mahogany drop leaf breakfast table; the top (45 and one quarter inches open) rectangular hinged with rounded corners and a reeded edge, fitted with frieze drawers on both ends, over a turned column, on 4 reeded, splayed legs. Measures 29 and one half inches high x 37 and five eighths inches wide x 24 and three quarter inches deep. C1820. This table has a wonderful deep rich old patina.
