Antique English Yew wood arm chair c1790. This chair was made from solid Yew wood. Yew wood is strong and one of the most beautiful woods. This chair has a high back, cut out center splat and large bulbous turnings to its legs. Excellent condition. A very comfortable chair for anyone to sit in for long periods of time. Measures 45 and one half inches high to the top of its back,17 and one half inches to the top of its seat, 27 and one half inches to the top of its arms, 22 inches deep and 25 inches to the outside of its arms. Early English mahogany architects desk c1790. Early desks designed for architects are quite rare. This only the second one we have had in 32 years. The top adjusts in two directions. The drawer opens and has a writing surface that can slide back revealing compartments for utensils. There is also a box that swings in and out of the drawer. Original hardware.
