The center panel depicts the Greek god Helios, who personified the sun, and is flanked by 2 figures in niches. Superb early Renaissance period cabinetry. RARE 18th c. Eucharist country French cabinet from small village chapel in Sancerre region. Made in two parts. The top with a single door. Inside space measures 14 deep by 13 by 23 inches high. The over all piece is 70 inches high by 19 inches deep and 21 inches wide. Original gold leaf and green paint with wooden pin construction. French Beau Brummel, or vanity stand, made circa 1820-30. Cherry or other fruitwood. All original. Measures 23 inches wide by 17 inches deep. It is 31 inches high when closed, and 43 inches high when the mirror is standing up. Tiny pegs on the bottom of the mirror frame fit into holes in the surface below so it does not slide when open.
