Antique English Victorian Gold, matching necklace and earrings. Estate jewelry. Necklace is a 15K mesh link choker, with a subtle diamond pattern. The earrings which are ear clips also have a mesh link and are designed to look like a buckle. They have black enamel inlaid into them and weigh 20 grams. Antique Amber jewelry, Russian amber. Antique Russian amber and gold necklace weighs 23 and one half grams. Measures 16 inches long. Large pieces of antique Russian tumble faceted amber in a warm honey amber color.The amber was brought back from Russia in 1910 and later strung on a 14 karat yellow gold chain. The largest piece measures 1 and one sixteenth inches and the smaller ones measure three quarters of an inch. Upon close examination, you can see tiny insects still trapped in the amber. Antique Estate Jewelry diamond bar pin c1890 to 1900. Because of its size and quality this is a very rare piece of American Victorian Jewelry measuring 4 and one quarter inches long by nine sixteenths inches wide. The six center European cut diamonds are graded S-1/H-I and weigh .48 carat total. They are surrounded by a circle of tiny simulated emeralds. These are original to the pin; colored glass and synthetic accent stones were commonly used in fine jewelry of this period. The entire length of the this bar pin is inset with 69 rose cut diamonds weighing .50 carat total. There is also a bow design on both the left and right side of the center. The diamonds are set in a thick layer of platinum over a base of 18k yellow gold. Outstanding craftsmanship. Very good condition with one old repair to a small area of one of the diamond bows. Etruscan revival rose gold brooch and earrings set c1860. This period antique "Etruscan Revival " rose gold earrings and brooch cameo set is in its original box. The box is worn on the outside. This period antique estate jewelry set was retailed by the E (Eugene) Jaccard Jewelry Co in St Louis, Missouri. The pin measures 2 and five eighths inches wide by 1 and one quarter inches wide. The earrings each measure 1 and three quarter inches long and 7 eighth inches wide. They still have their original ear wires. The brooch weighs 21 grams and the earrings weigh 14 grams. The cameos have the best carving detail of any Etruscan Revival set we have seen. E Jaccard was the finest jeweler in the wealthy and sophisticated city of St Louis. Antique Pique jewelry, this brooch weighs 8 grams. This rare piece of pique jewelry is inlaid with both gold and silver. This antique watch fob or brooch has a finely executed honeycomb and arrow design. Excellent original condition. Pique jewelry is no longer being made and fine pieces like this one are continuing to rise in value. This "pique" brooch measures 1 and three eights inches across. Most pique jewelry is done in tortoise shell, made from the hawksbill turtle Pique (pronounced pee kay) a technique of decorating tortoiseshell or Ivory with fine inlay of gold or silver. Tortoise shell is a natural thermoplastic. A fine shaft of precious metal can be heated and then pressed into the tortoiseshell. The rod is cut off at the and as the shell cools, it re-hardens and grips the insert tightly. This process is repeated to form a pattern.
