Peter Helck Vintage automobile memorabilia,This Watercolour painted and signed by "Helck" of Nazzaro in his automobile most probably is depicting him in a Fiat during the 1907 automobile race "The Targa Florio" a race during the Sicilian Monte Carlo a period of horsemanship,motor boating, pigeon shooting, fencing etc for the wealthy gentlemen sportsmen of the day. Helcks watercolors are the most prized of automobile memorabilia collectors. This watercolor measures nine inches by six and one half inches with a sixteen by nineteen inch frame.See page 230 of Great Auto Races as Told by and Painted by Peter Helck where this image was used as one of the illustrations in the book. Antique German silver Fiat racing trophy circa 1899. This "Fiat" car racing trophy dates from 1899 and was made from solid 800 German silver. This antique car memorabilia silver trophy measures 5 and one half inches long and 3 and one quarter inches high.
This piece was given to Felice Nazarro, a very famous race driver and friend of Enzo Ferrari. It was a gift of the Fiat Car Co. and given in roughly 1910. It was purchased directly from Nazarro's daughter several years ago.
The Fiat Car Co. was founded in 1899. Very few of these silver pieces were commissioned, and given to important people such as Nazarro as he successfully raced Fiats in the 1908 Circuit di Bologna against his friend, Enzo Ferrari.
This piece was not given in 1899, but commemorates the start of the company in 1899.Just in from a very important vintage automobile memorabilia collection. Shipping extra. Time: 9m 42s Stamped on the bottom, "Warranted Sterling Silver B Peterson & Co." Sterling Silver Award Cup. Measures 6 and one half inches high. This silver trophy measures 4 and one quarter inches across at the brim. This horse trophy weighs 989 and one half grams.The Club was formed in 1871, being the oldest Club in NZ and the second amateur athletics club to be formed in the world. Peter Helck ink etching automobile race. This original "Peter Helck" scratched etching depicts a driver racing his vintage automobile. The process to make this art piece is quite unique. The artist applies ink that he then scratches off the surface to create the image. This original Helck art piece dates from the early 20th century and measures 9 inches by 6 and one quarter inches. The frame measures 19 and one quarter inches by 16 and three eighths inches.
