This wonderful and quite rare "Gold trophy" is engraved "Presented to The American Bankers Association By The Bankers of Philadelphia 1932" Made by J. E. Caldwell and Co. in Philadelphia. Marked sterling AZ3908S. This sterling silver gold trophy measures 16 inches across and 11 inches high. Weighs 11.4 lbs. The back is engraved The Philadelphia Bowl won by 1932 Los Angeles P. S Belford,1933 Chicago R. E. Hanson,1934 Washington D.C. S. B. Smith, 1935 New Orleans R. S. Drew, 1936 San Francisco David Wisnom, 1937 Boston R. S. Drew 1938 Houston G. S. Eccles,1939 Seattle W.K. Hand made sterling silver letter opener by Leonore Doskow,"Leonore Doskow" This solid sterling silver letter opener is monogrammed SG and measures 11 and three quarters inches long by 7 eighths inches wide and weighs 88 grams.She and her husband owned and operated Leonore Doskow, Inc., a jewelry company selling to upscale stores around the country, from 1935 until the 1980s, when her son and his wife took over. It is headquartered in Montrose NY and still produces Doskow’s original designs.In 1932, she won a scholarship to study art history at the Sorbonne for a summer. When she returned, she opened a shop on 17th Street in Center City, Philadelphia.
Monogrammed pieces were one of her favorites. Her work is quite collected and constantly raising in value. Shipping extra. Very fine sterling silver punch set made by Peter Ferner, a Stuttgart, Germany, area silversmith active in the mid 20th century. Ferner was born in Schwabisch Gmund in 1928. His father was owner of the Eugen Ferner factory for silverware there. Peter started as an apprentice at his father's factory and took his master's degree in 1952. He set up his own workshop in Gmünd in 1956. He taught at the academy at Nürnberg in 1963-4. In 1968 he opened up a shop for jewlery, cutlery etc. The diameter of the tray is 20 1/2 in. (52cm), and the diameter of the punch bowl 12 3/4 in. (32.4cm) The set weighs 207oz 8dwt (6450g), excluding the glass liners.The set consists of a punch bowl, tray, twelve goblets, and ladle. The punch bowl and tray both have shaped rims applied with grapes, grape leaves and vines, and the domed foot of the punch bowl and goblets are chased to match. The punch bowl and tray are fitted with glass liners. All pieces are marked P FERNER STERLING on the bases, and all are in excellent condition.

South America silver,Argentina South American Sterling Silver Basin. This sterling silver or higher bowl is truly exquisite. The bowl is all hand hammered and the handles are cast silver. This along with some other pieces were brought back from Argentina in the 1950 to 1960 period and date from 1930 to 1950. This center piece bowl measures 9 inches round and 13 and one quarter inches across both handles and 3 and three eights inches high.This bowl is hallmarked and weighs 611 grams. There is a monogram on its face with looks more like design than a monogram. This is truly a work of art done by a master craftsman. Shipping extra.
