Casted Bronze F Gornik Cigar Ashtray measures 8 and one quarter inches by 6 and one half inches and is 4 inches high at the highest point. Friedrich Gornik Austrian B 1877 D 1943. He studied sculpture at the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts. He did work for porcelain factories in Austria depicting small animals later having them cast in bronze. Signed F Gornik with a AR foundry mark.Gornik was an excellent sculptor and his works well regarded. This casted bronze ashtray has two birds which can be seen in more detail in the accompanying photographs. Shipping extra.
