Vintage matched set of four maple hand made country ladder back dining chairs with ash splint seats c1930. This is a very well made, and strong set of ladder back chairs. A large person could sit in any one of the chairs in this set with no problem at all. This match set was hand made from solid maple. The original seats are made from true hand cut ash splint and are quite comfortable. They retain their original finish and have a lovely old warn look. Each chair measures 29 and one half inches to the top finial, 18 and one half inches to the top of their seats, 17 inches wide and 14 inches deep. Shipping extra. Set of six Harold Margolis American Federal Style mahogany dining chairs. The two arm chairs each measure 20 inches wide, 35 and one half inches high, 18 inches to the top of their seats, 27 and one half inches to the top of their arms, and 17 inches deep. The side chairs are 19 inches wide, 35 and one half inches to the top of their backs and 18 and one half inches to the top of their seats. Each chair was hand made from the finest matching mahogany with banded flame birch inserts.The Margolis furniture store was in Hartford CT. Margolis mahogany American Federal Hepplewhite style sideboard. This sideboard is unsigned but was made by Harold Margolis. It was purchased by our consignors parents from Harold Margolis with a table and six chairs which are signed. The side board measures 66 inches wide by 41 and one half inches high. It is 19 and one half inches deep at both ends and 27 and one half inches in the middle. There are two drawers inside the two front doors. Serpentine front with straight tapered legs. The legs, top, and most all edges of the side board have a lovely inset inlay. Made from the finest solid matching mahogany. The Margolis furniture store was in Hartford CT. The chairs have been recovered with a beautiful pale olive brown leather cover.This set came to us from an estate located in Newport RI. This Studio furniture modern birdseye maple and walnut coffee table is the best we have ever seen. The legs are made from solid birdseye maple and the top from solid clear blank walnut. This coffee table is very dramatic. The top looks like wings or sails. We seriously doubt there is another one, this is truly one of a kind. It has some writing on the bottom which mentions it being given as a gift in 1988. Measures 57 and one quarter inches wide from tip of leg to tip of leg and 25 inches deep. Shipping extra. Vintage matched set of twelve Thonet modern maple bentwood side chairs c1950 to 1960 just in from a CT estate. Each chair is very strong and comfortable. The design allows the back to have a slight spring which makes the chairs very easy to sit in for long periods of time. The original Thonet paper labels (1 Park Ave NY) are under most of the chairs.
