This piece is an exact hand made reproduction of an American Connecticut Country Chippendale bow front graduated four drawer chest with fluted columns, on OG footed base. The drawers are all made with large hand cut dovetails and hand chamfered bottoms. The back has hand chamfered raised panels. This chest is made from solid matched mahogany and measures 45 inches wide, 23 and one half inches deep at the center, 20 and one half at the sides, and 37 inches high. They reproduced the best examples of period 18th and early 19thc American furniture designs during the early 20th century. Stamped on the underside Handmade by The Nathan Margolis Shop Hartford Conn. Harold D Margolis This table has boxwood inlay in the top and legs along with a banded inlay around its straight tapered legs.
