Vintage matched set of twelve Thonet modern maple bentwood side chairs c1950 to 1960 just in from a CT estate. Each chair is very strong and comfortable. The design allows the back to have a slight spring which makes the chairs very easy to sit in for long periods of time. The original Thonet paper labels (1 Park Ave NY) are under most of the chairs. Each chair measures 32 inches to the top of its back, 17 inches to the top of its seat, 15 inches wide and deep. Shipping extra. Ebonized French Art Deco vanity c1920. This is rare piece of French Art Deco furniture made from a fruitwood. The case back,bottom and drawers were all made from large hand cut dovetails and the front has a wonderful wave design. There is a center drawer and two small drawers just above the two doors. This is with out a doubt one of the best pieces of Art Deco we have ever had the good fortune to acquire. This French art deco furnishing measures 49 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 52 inches high at the back, is 27 and one quarter inches high to vanity surface and is 30 and three quarter inches high at the sides. Stunning pair of gilt carved Louis XVI style round tables, made in Italy circa 1950. The tables feature gold leafed pierced carving on a white painted surface, square tapered fluted legs, and white marble tops with subtle gray veining. Each measures 29 inches across and 28 and one half inches high. One table has carved stars above each leg, and the other has carved rosettes. All other details are identical. Shipping extra.
