| R J Horner lady's inlaid drop front desk. This "RJ Horner" ladys desk is in excellent original condition. The lid is inlaid with ivory,brass and satin wood. The desk is made from solid mahogany. This is one of the finest examples of R J Horners work. The drawers are all solid mahogany and made with large hand cut dovetails. The little interior drawers are hand dovetailed as well. Measures 41 inches high by 28 and one half inches wide and 17 inches deep. It is 28 and one half inches to the top of the writing surface when the lid is down. The original label is on the reverse which says R J Horner Furniture Makers 61,62,63, West 23rd Street NY. The condition is excellent with the exception of the original leather on the writing surface. This is well worn. We did not want to replace this because it has a wonderful old original look that many of our clients like but it could be replace very inexpensively if a buyer wants a fresh new leather look.
