| A fine footed Mukozuke with an underglaze design of a lakeside landscape with hills in the background and two small boats in the lake. The border is done in the brocade patterns known as nishidike. The raised foot has classic Nabeshima style vertical lines and the underside of the scroll has small designs of foothills. Four character mark on the base reads Hirado Kasho Good Omen. See page 146, plate 12 in the standard Hirado reference book by Louis Lawrence Hirado, Prince of Porcelains Encyclopedia of Art Series, 1997. Mid Meiji. Measures 6 and three eighth inches wide at top, 5 and seven eighths inches wide at bottom and is 1 one half inches high at its highest.
