| French 16th century walnut chest or coffer with fluted column sides, carved medallions, lidded top and a door on the front. The center panel depicts the Greek god Helios, who personified the sun, and is flanked by 2 figures in niches. Superb early Renaissance period cabinetry. Excellent condition, original hinges and surface. Feet probably restored. Later inside door lock. Measures 32.5 inches high x 48 inches wide x 21.5 inches deep. Shipping extra.
